The word doula is a Greek word that means "women’s servant." Women have been serving other women in childbirth for centuries and have proven that this support from another woman has positive effects on the labor process.

I have received doula training from Debra Catlin (scroll to bottom of page), attended a Birthing From Within childbirth education workshop, and have just begun the combined birth and post-partum doula training course offered by Childbirth International.

I would also be happy to combine doula services with rootwork, if you are so inclined! Stay tuned as I add more to this page.
